First Step: How to Recognize Black Widow Spiders?
They are the very common figure
across the North America. The US, Canada, and their neighboring countries are
ideal habitat for Black Widow Spiders. Black widow spiders are considered the
most venomous spider of the world.
The Females are most dangerous. We can easily identify them. They
are black in color, half inch long, spherical abdomen, and the most important
sign is red hourglass on her abdomen.
Male Widow Spiders are not venomous. But, it is important to
identify them. They are small in size, about ¼ inch length. They have several
red dots on their abdomen and their color is gray or brown. Another important
sign is they have red or yellow bands on their back.
Spider lings: they are the new born black widow spider. At the
first stage, that means after born they are white or off white in color. Their
color turned into dark with their age. They do now show any sign of whether
they are male or female. At this stage they do not have venom.

Black widow spiders love to live
in dark, holes, cavities, cracks, boxes, among firewood, and so one. They
become active during night, because they are nocturnal insect.
- Black widow spiders produce stronger nets than other spices of spiders. Like other species they use their net for catching pray and storing cocoon of eggs.
- They are generally found in dark places, edges of the room and furniture, storage, garages, periodic used goods and also vehicles. They generally choose non disturbing places for creating nest.
- They love to live in territory, so you will find a lots of black widow spiders at a single place.
Third Step: Understand the Danger of Their Bite
We have already discussed that
the only female black widow spiders have dangerous venom. How strong the black
widow spider’s venom? It is said that their venom may be 15 times stronger than
the venom of Rattlesnake.
That venom is neurotoxin, which
can aches muscles, produce abdominal pain, create breathing difficulties, and
nausea. Don’t be afraid of black widow spider’s venom, medical science is now
very matured. If anyone can take immediate medical treatment then the venom
will not do any major damage. But, if do not take right medical treatment in
time then a bite may lead us to death.
